AFCA would like to remind members that it will be closed over the 2022–23 holiday period from 12pm Friday 23 December 2022 until 9am Tuesday 3 January 2023.

Timeframes and due dates
In order for AFCA and members to comply with ASIC Regulatory Guide 271 (RG 271), AFCA is unable to change mandatory timeframes and response due dates for complaints in the Registration stage during AFCA’s shutdown period.

Complaint responses with due dates that fall during our shutdown period will be automatically extended to Tuesday 3 January 2023.

AFCA encourages financial firms to have processes in place to respond to complaints during this period.
