The Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) has received a high volume of complaints regarding services allegedly provided by Forex Financial Services from consumers who have been unable to withdraw funds via the online trading website.

Forex Financial Services advises that an unrelated operation being conducted through an online trading website has fraudulently used its company name and Australian licence details, and it denies providing a financial service to the customers.

AFCA is only able to consider complaints about financial firms that are members of AFCA. Although Forex Financial Services is currently an AFCA member, it is unclear if the entity used by customers to invest funds is also an AFCA member.

AFCA has referred the matter to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) given the allegations against an Australian Financial Services Licence holder.

AFCA is currently unable to consider these complaints against Forex Financial Services while ASIC is reviewing this matter.

AFCA encourages any customer with a concern about accessing their trading funds through Forex Financial Services to delay lodging a complaint until ASIC has completed its review.

Forex Financial Services
