This page includes information about when members can expect registration fees, user charge and complaint fee invoices.

Billing cycle

  1. Annual registration fees
Annual registration fee notices are issued in June each year. For the 2023 financial year the annual registration fee was a flat fee of $375.55 for financial firm members, and a flat fee of $65.98 for Authorised Credit Representatives, inclusive of GST.
  2. User charge invoices
User charge invoices are issued to relevant members in August of each financial year. Members who are eligible for progressive invoicing may opt to receive user charge invoices quarterly, biannually or annually and will be issued their user charge invoice(s) based on the schedule nominated.
  3. Members who join during a financial year
Members who join AFCA during the financial year will pay the annual registration fee associated with the membership type upon registration. New members will be entitled to five free complaints within the financial year and will only pay complaint fees upon the sixth complaint. User charges (if applicable) will only commence in the following financial year if the member has had six or more complaints.
