Over the last month, we have been testing the new member portal to ensure it delivers the best possible experience to our members.

With the build complete and testing well underway, we’re excited to confirm the new member portal will launch in March 2024. This will give our members time to update processes and receive training on the new system without running into the busy end-of-year period.

Why has the launch date changed to early 2024?

As with any major IT initiative, the size and complexity of the project has meant minor changes to the timeline for launch.

We want to make sure members have the time they need to prepare their staff and processes for the transition, and we believe launching in March 2024 is a more practical and realistic timeframe that avoids the busy end of year period.

We also understand the importance of launching a high-quality product that improves how members interact with AFCA and supports the early and efficient resolution of complaints. For this to happen, we need to make sure the system is well-tested and passes all quality checks. Launching in early 2024 provides time to do this.

We have amended the new member portal timeline on our website to reflect this change. You can find this on our website here

When will training resources be available to members?

AFCA is committed to providing members with the support they need for a smooth transition to the new portal.

In July, we confirmed that training resources will be made available to all members at least 4-6 weeks prior to launch – even if the launch date changes.

This has not changed. Members will have access to training in early 2024 prior to a launch in March. You can find more information about training on the AFCA website.

AFCA will also hold an online system showcase at a Member Forum towards the end of 2023. More details about our upcoming Member Forum and system showcase, including invitations to register, will be available soon.
